Features & Functionality

Our competitor analysis automatically identifies relevant competitors based on your startup profile and categorizes them into two types:

  • Direct Competitors: Companies competing in the same space as you
  • Adjacent Competitors: Companies in related spaces that could pivot into your market or vice versa

For each competitor, we show you:

  • Market overlap percentage (how many markets you both operate in)
  • Funding comparisons and competitive positioning
  • Business model and customer type differences
  • Team size and operational metrics

Direct Competitors

These are your closest rivals - companies that match your startup on multiple key criteria:

  • Same primary category (e.g., both in "Farm Management Software")
  • Overlapping active markets (operate in at least one common country)
  • Same customer type when available (B2B, B2C, B2B2C, or B2G)
  • Active operating status

Example: If you're a B2B Farm Management SaaS operating in Kenya, Nigeria, and Ghana - your direct competitors would be other B2B Farm Management companies operating in any of those three countries.

Adjacent Competitors

These companies share some characteristics with you but may differ in markets or focus:

  • Share at least one category with you (not necessarily the primary one)
  • May operate in completely different markets
  • May target different customer types
  • Active operating status

Example: If you're in "Farm Management Software" and "IoT & Sensing", adjacent competitors could include IoT companies that don't do farm management, or farm management companies operating entirely in different markets like Latin America.

Why this matters:
  • Direct competitors should be your primary focus for competitive strategy
  • Adjacent competitors represent future threats or partnership opportunities
  • Direct competitors always appear first in rankings and comparisons

TAM represents the total revenue opportunity available if you achieved 100% market share in your target markets.

We calculate TAM based on:

  • Total population in your target countries
  • Agricultural population and rural demographics
  • GDP and economic indicators
  • Agricultural sector size and growth rates
  • Mobile and internet penetration rates
  • Category-specific factors for your business model

All data comes from verified sources like World Bank, FAO, ITU, and national statistics bureaus.

Untapped Markets are countries where your competitors are operating but you are not yet present. These represent potential expansion opportunities.

We rank untapped markets by:

  • Number of competitors already operating there
  • Market size and growth potential
  • Market quality score (infrastructure, regulations, etc.)
  • Similarity to your current markets

Yes! You can:

  • Create Share Links: Generate a public link to share your dashboard with anyone
  • Add Team Members: Invite team members with different permission levels (Viewer, Editor, Admin)
